Magnificent ‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ (Self-Reliant India) is a dream which every generation born in Independent India has lived through and fought for. Many times in the past we realized that the neglect of the ‘self’ is the root cause of our problems, and time and again we have seen a massive urge for Swadeshi (indigenization) and Swavlamban (self-reliance) among the common people too. But in the absence of a strong political will and lack of sense of urgency, even after 70 years of Independence, these aspirations could not fulfill to that extent they should.

After six years of Transforming India, today we are standing on a point from where we can take a giant leap to turn this dream into a reality. But that giant leap will take positive energy, precious time, and tremendous efforts of millions of youth of this country. Mission Self-Reliant India (आत्मनिर्भर भारत) invites all those productive ideas and creative inputs which are aligned with or can contribute to making the vision of Self-Reliant India a success.

General Guidelines

Do’s and don’ts

• The tone of the argument should be constructive and concise.
• Opinion articles shared in this platform should refrain from counting the challenges and taunting the critics alone. The criticism without a solution is an incomplete content, so do share some possible creative inputs whenever you put an objection on some event/activity or trend.
• Check basic grammar and spelling before submission and try to keep it within 1000-1500 words.
• If you are not comfortable in English, feel free to share your article in Hindi or in any other Indian language (but do provide a Hindi translation too).
• Please paste the text of the article into the e-mail body and don’t send it as an attachment.
• Include a short bio. One or two sentences should do. Provide the link to your social media profiles i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc. (if any)
• Please send a headshot photo of the writer to run alongside the article.
